Hyden Intelligent Rotary Dimmer Module
“Hyden” Intelligent Rotary Dimmers module is solely developed by our company under our self-owned brand name “Hyden”
This new module product can operate with all classes of bulbs, e.g. incandescent, dimmable LED and dimmable CFL. Our product can easily replace the standard switches with dimmers and the use of dimmable LED or CFL bulbs helps save energy and the associated utility costs. Enjoy full-range dimming, smooth start-up and the benefit of energy-savings as you create the perfect ambiance for any occasion.
CE and EMC approved
This dimmer product has been granted the BSEN 60669-2-1 & EN 60669-2-1 certificates.
Special function - Minimum Dim Level Setting
This dimmer module has a special function to set the minimum dim level, which can prevent the light sources from turning off completely or flickering when dimming level is too low.
High power/ Low power version
Our modules have two versions, one is low power version Hyden-L-001(100W), and the other one is high power version Hyden-L-002 (200W).
Low power version includes 100W for incandescent lamps and 70W for dimmable LED lamps, and the minimum loading required is only 4W both for incandescent and dimmable LED lamps.
High power version includes 200W for incandescent lamps and 150W for dimmable LED lamps, and the minimum loading required is only 4W both for incandescent and dimmable LED lamps.
Trailing- edge Type
This dimmer module is trailing-edge type.
Trailing-edge dimmers are more sophisticated than leading-edge dimmers, and we use a MOSFET (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor) switch rather than a TRIAC and coil. This benefits the user with smooth, silent dimming control, absent of any buzzing noise.
A trailing-edge dimmer has a lower minimum load (often 10W) than leading-edge dimmers, making it a better choice for dimming modestly sized low-powered lighting circuits.
Particularly beneficial for incandescent and halogen bulbs is the ‘soft start’ feature in trailing-edge dimmers, which prevents filament bulbs from dying or exploding of thermal shock when first switched on.
