Bi-metal contact strip is a clad material consists of a base metal backing strip covered by or inlaid with a precious metal as a contact material. Usually, Cu or Cu alloy is used for the base, and the precious metal of Ag or Ag alloy is used for the contact material. Therefore, it enjoys the combined advantages of contact performance and mechanical strength inherent in both precious metals and base materials
